My first week as an official teacher is in full swing, it's alot of work but the kids are so damn good, smart, cute, witty and amazing that it's more than okay. I'll be taking pics of my kids this week because they're one of the main things that's going to make this year awesome.
So, at the weekend, I took my first trip into Seoul and it was epic. It's such a cool place, and I finally found a record store where I could geek-out and satisfy my thirst for some k-pop in CD form.
Then, it was off to Monkey Beach where anything goes... they serve their cocktails in actual buckets and you can dance on the tables. Fun times.
After a hilarious night out in Seoul on the Saturday, it was time to chill and unpack on Sunday. I've finally made my apartment my own, and it's looking so cute! I didn't sleep well on Sunday night though, I was slightly terrified for my first day of teaching on the Monday, but I swear, people aren't lying when they say it's the kids that make the experience amazing. I don't know how the hell I'd have managed if they were anything like the kids back home, but the kids here know their manners. Even the tougher-to-handle students aren't so bad once you have them sussed, or that's what I'm hoping heh.
Today was day two, and it had it's ups and downs... some lessons tanked, others were great, but I guess that's how it goes. No partying tonight I'm afraid though, I need a night off! Roll on Friday, aka, girls night! Time to try out a Korean cinema (I'm sure I saw a sign advertising movies in 4D...) and obviously, we're going to see 'Breaking Dawn' ;)
Tick tack tick tack tick tack...
I'm teaching in South Korea and I know I'll forget to write things down so by doing the blog thing, at least it'll be recorded somewhere...

Breathe...!
It's all happening now! Finally received my visa last week, and my flights were booked by my boss this morning... Monday 21st November, departing from Glasgow airport at 1.05pm. Can't. Wait.
This past week has been pretty stressful, I won't deny it. I haven't spent my last month here wisely in terms of getting organised, I opted to sit around, watch TV, drink, sleep... forget banking, mobile phone contracts and packing up my room (properly). 'Packing' for me has been a case of staring at piles of hoarded crap and thinking about putting it in boxes before wandering off and doing something else. Poor show.
Anyway, all that stress of the past week has finally disappeared and been replaced with nothing but pure excitement. I'm sure the nerves will make an ugly appearance before the flight though. I hate flying. Maybe I should watch some Walking Dead on the plane since it's the only thing scarier than getting on a friggin' plane, take my mind off the 'flying' bit.
Before I wrap up this post, I'll tell you a bit about what most of my TV time consisted of this week: re-watching 'City Hunter' on DVD, a.k.a. one of the best K-dramas I've ever seen. It's basically 20 hours of Lee Min Ho kicking everyones ass and looking bloody fantastic while doing it. Time well spent, yes?

It can't rain all the time...
It never feels like Halloween is right around the corner until you watch this film. For years and years, I've never let October 30th go by without watching it. It still is, and always will be, my all time favourite... better get the tissues ready.
*goosebumps*
Also, if anyone mentions a sequel, or re-make of this film in my company, I will hit you.

Zombies are the only thing scarier than air travel.
I see the latest episode of 'The Walking Dead' is now available to watch... should I watch it alone? I think not.
If you're laughing at me right now, up yours [appropriate gesture occurs here] because it's r-e-a-l-l-y scary, okay? And I'm talking churning stomach plus sweaty palms scary. Yup.
On a lighter note, that Andrew Lincoln and Steven Yeun, eh? Oh aye ;p

Intuition...
My weekend:
- I got really sick. It wasn't pretty.
- Uther died and Arthur became King.
- Laura, thatbugger, still won't tell me if Tyler Lockwood died or not last week.
- I ate a vegetarian spag bol and couldn't tell it was fake meat. First. Time. Ever.
Oh, and I no longer work forTesco. And luckily for me, it feels so damn good that there are no words to describe how I'm feeling. Trouble avoided... hah!
Basically, I have the next month or so all to myself to pack and spend time with the people I'll miss. And avoid the people I won't.
*cackle*
Well, it's Sunday night, which can only mean one thing: 'Independance Day' is on.

0330...
Thanks, stress.
The past 48 hours have been completely manic... yesterday I received an email from my agency saying that the job I thought was mine had been given to someone else who's already in Korea. Gah. THEN, I was given an interview with another school, which was this morning. About an hour ago, I was told I got the job! Now, I've never been a huge believer when it comes to the "everything happens for a reason" philosophy, but if anything is going to change my mind, it's this. The new position looks great, the wage is better and the apartment situation is sorted. Good times.
And instead of leaving a week after finishing my exams, at least I have a few extra work-free weeks at home before I head off.
*collective sigh of relief*...

The Darkest Hour...
As a girl who flies the geek flag with pride, I'm not ashamed to admit that the best part of my week in the Spring/Summer months is Doctor Who on a Saturday night. And in the Autumn/Winter, it's Merlin. I love the spin they've put on such an epic legend, and the bromance between Arthur and Merlin completely makes it.
Last weeks' series opener was absolutely amazing, and this weeks' would have been if it wasn't for onetiny detail. Now, I'm used to them not exactly going along with the plot of the original legend but... Lancelot? Really?! I'm still reeling... *sob*

And yes, I really did just dedicate an entire post to Merlin. And there are still 11 episodes of this series to go so deal with it ;)
